Summary
The temporary waiver of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification requirements that was implemented during COVID-19 will end on May 11, 2023. Starting May 12, 2023, all behavior technicians must have completed the RBT exam to be eligible for MO HealthNet reimbursement.
Action Required
By May 11, 2023: All behavior technicians must complete the RBT exam to maintain eligibility for MO HealthNet reimbursement. Practices should verify all technician certifications are current and schedule any outstanding RBT exams immediately. Claims for services provided by non-certified technicians after May 12, 2023 will be denied.
