Summary
Missouri Medicaid (MO HealthNet) has launched a new Diabetes Prevention Program for eligible adults at risk for Type-2 diabetes. Providers who want to bill for these CDC-recognized prevention services need to obtain a separate provider number (Provider Type 37) to submit claims for DPP services.

Immediately: Providers interested in offering Diabetes Prevention Program services must obtain CDC recognition status and enroll for Provider Type 37 with Missouri Medicaid. Email MMAC.ProviderEnrollment@dss.mo.gov to request additional provider number for billing DPP services. Review Section 2.71 of the Physician's Manual for program details and billing requirements.
