Summary
Effective April 3, 2025, Cinvanti® (fosaprepitant injection) will return to non-preferred status on the Antiemetic 5-HT3 and NK1 Agents Injectable PDL Edit, following the resolution of IV fluid shortages caused by Hurricane Helene. Fosaprepitant vials remain preferred alternatives for antiemetic therapy.
Action Required
By April 3, 2025: Billing team must update prior authorization requirements for Cinvanti® (fosaprepitant injection) as it becomes non-preferred. Verify coverage and obtain prior authorization before administering. Consider switching to preferred fosaprepitant vials to avoid authorization delays and potential coverage issues.
