Summary

Telemedicine visits can no longer be used to satisfy face-to-face physical examination requirements for wheelchair coverage in the DME (Durable Medical Equipment) program for nursing home residents. All physical examinations must now be conducted in person.

Update EMR templates to document in-person visits for wheelchair evaluations. Claims for wheelchair coverage based on telemedicine examinations will be denied.
