Summary
Beginning April 1, 2026, Medicaid claims for home and community-based services requiring Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) will be automatically denied if there is no matching visit recorded in the EVV Aggregator Solution (EAS). This affects provider types 26 and 28 providing personal care, advanced personal care, consumer directed services, homemaker, chore, and respite services.
Action Required
By April 1, 2026: Provider types 26 and 28 must ensure all EVV-required services have matching visits recorded in the EVV Aggregator Solution before submitting claims. Billing staff must log into EAS at least weekly to verify visit accuracy and completeness. Update billing workflows to check EAS data matches claim units, dates, Provider IDs, and participant information. Claims will be denied without matching EVV data.
