Action Required
By January 31, 2025: All billing and administrative staff should verify that provider demographic information is current in the CareSource provider portal and on CareSource.com. For Medicaid providers specifically, ensure updates are first submitted to the Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP), then to CareSource. Visit the Provider Maintenance page, select your plan type and state, and follow instructions. Update office location, phone number, provider roster, specialties, and location status as needed. Failure to maintain accurate demographics may result in delayed claims processing, missed prior authorization requests, and reduced member visibility in Find-A-Doctor searches, which can negatively impact referral patterns and revenue cycle.
