Immediately: When patients report inability to fill generic stimulant prescriptions (Adderall, Adderall XR, or Concerta generics), call UPMC Pharmacy Services at 1-800-979-8762 to request one-time override for brand-name equivalent. Inform patients they can also call Member Services or have pharmacy call 1-800-396-4139. For Commercial members, always request override to avoid higher out-of-pocket costs for brand medications.
