Summary
Beginning April 15, 2024, UPMC Health Plan providers must use self-service options (online portal or IVR system) for claim status, eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and EOP access instead of calling provider services. A dedicated web support team remains available for technical assistance.
Action Required
By April 15, 2024: All staff must transition to using UPMC Health Plan's online portal at upmchealthplan.com/providers or their IVR system for claim status inquiries, member eligibility verification, benefit information, authorization creation/verification, and EOP access. Train billing and front desk staff on the new self-service systems. Contact Provider Services Web Support Team at 1-800-937-0438 only for technical issues with the portal or IVR system.
