Summary
CareSource Indiana Medicaid is offering a $25.00 incentive payment to eligible rendering providers for utilizing four specific behavioral health screening codes (G0444, G0442, 99408, 99409) with qualifying visits from April 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. This incentive does not reduce existing fee schedule rates and excludes FQHC and RHC providers. Effective July 1, 2025.
Action Required
By June 28, 2025: Billing team must verify provider eligibility for the BHEI incentive program (confirm rendering provider status and confirm NOT an FQHC or RHC). Update billing system to track and flag claims for CPT codes 99408, 99409 and HCPCS codes G0444, G0442 with dates of service April 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025 for retroactive incentive payment capture. Configure system to append $25.00 incentive payment to qualifying claims. Providers should begin utilizing these screening codes at point of care; billing team must verify proper documentation supports medical necessity per IHCP guidance.
