Summary

CareSource is reminding Georgia providers to verify and update their demographic information (office locations, phone numbers, specialties, provider status) in the appropriate system to ensure accurate provider directories, timely claims processing, and proper care coordination. Georgia Medicaid providers must update information in GAMMIS; all providers should review via the Provider Maintenance page.

Action Required

Action needed
By January 31, 2025: Billing team and front desk staff must verify all provider demographic information is current and accurate. For Georgia Medicaid providers, update records in the Georgia Medicaid Management Information System (GAMMIS). For D-SNP and Marketplace providers, access the Provider Maintenance page on CareSource.com, select your plan type and state, and follow instructions to update office locations, phone numbers, specialties, and provider status. Consequences of inaction: Outdated information may delay claims processing, prevent prior authorization requests from being processed timely, cause members to be unable to locate providers in the Find-A-Doctor tool, and hinder referrals between providers. Contact Provider Services for assistance: D-SNP (1-833-230-2176), Marketplace (1-833-230-2101), Medicaid (1-855-202-1058).
