[Georgia] Maintaining Provider Information in GAMMIS
CareSource·GA·Provider Bulletin
We identified it
May 9, 2026
Summary
CareSource Georgia Medicaid requires all providers (including delegated providers) to maintain current credentialed NPIs and Medicaid IDs in GAMMIS (Georgia Medicaid Management Information System). Claims submitted with non-credentialed NPIs for any role (Billing, Attending, Ordering, Referring, Rendering, Prescribing) will be denied. Providers must enroll through Gainwell to ensure claims are paid.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must verify that all rendering providers, billing providers, attending physicians, ordering providers, referring providers, and prescribing providers have current credentialed NPIs enrolled in GAMMIS before submitting claims to CareSource Georgia Medicaid. Audit all claims currently in process to ensure all NPIs listed are credentialed. Direct providers to enroll/verify their information at http://www.mmis.georgia.gov through Gainwell. Update internal provider credentialing checklist to include GAMMIS enrollment verification. Any claims submitted with non-credentialed NPIs will be denied and not paid. Contact CareSource Provider Services at 1-855-202-1058 for claim denial questions or enrollment assistance.
