Summary
Medical Mutual updated their Provider Portal on Availity with new security restrictions for email changes, enhanced PAR form functionality, and a new status tracking system. Email addresses can no longer be changed on PAR forms for security reasons and must be updated through the provider portal dashboard.
Action Required
By October 1, 2021: Billing team must update email addresses through the provider portal My Account Dashboard (select My Contact Info) rather than on PAR forms. Train staff on new PAR form fields including Submitter Contact Phone Number and Patient Account Number. Review new status codes for tracking PAR form submissions and allow 7-10 business days for processing.
