CareSource Georgia Medicaid has partnered with Versant Health to provide vision services coverage. Two vision policies are being updated effective February 1, 2026: Policy 1309 (Medically Necessary Contact Lenses) and Policy 1330 (Specialty Spectacle Lenses). By January 31, 2026: Billing team must access and review the complete policy text for Policy 1309 (Medically Necessary Contact Lenses) and Policy 1330 (Specialty Spectacle Lenses) at https://superiorvision.com/legal/ under clinical policies. Identify applicable vision CPT/HCPCS codes used by the practice and update billing system rules, coverage guidelines, and prior authorization workflows as needed. Inform providers and front desk staff of any changes to patient cost-sharing or authorization requirements. Failure to implement required changes may result in claim denials for vision services.
