Summary
Starting January 1, 2025, Healthfirst will expand coverage of Crisis Residence Services and Mobile Crisis Services to Essential Plan, Leaf, and Leaf Premier members. These services were previously only covered under Medicaid, Personal Wellness Plans (HARP), Child Health Plus, and Medicaid Advantage Plan members.
Action Required
By December 31, 2024: Billing team should verify that Crisis Residence Services and Mobile Crisis Services are set up for billing under Healthfirst Essential Plan, Leaf, and Leaf Premier plans in the billing system. Review Crisis Residence Admission Notification Guidelines and billing procedures for Mobile Crisis and Residential Services as referenced in the policy.
