Summary

Georgia Medicaid now requires all applicable providers to enroll as a Group/Billing Provider in GAMMIS and establish proper affiliations between rendering and billing providers to comply with CMS NPI reporting requirements. Failure to complete enrollment within 45 days will result in claims denials effective January 1, 2026.

Action Required

Action needed
By March 3, 2026 (45 days from February 17, 2026 notice date): Billing team and providers must complete the following in GAMMIS: (1) Access the GAMMIS web portal and navigate to Provider Enrollment → Enrollment Wizard; (2) Submit a Group/Billing Provider application for each service location address; (3) Use existing Payee Medicaid ID if applicable; (4) Complete affiliation of all rendering providers to the enrolled group before submitting claims. Billing team must verify that all rendering providers are actively affiliated to the billing group prior to claims submission. Consequences: Claims will be denied if billing provider NPI is not enrolled, if rendering providers are not affiliated to the billing group, or if billing provider enrollment requirements are not met. Contact CareSource Provider Services at 1-855-202-1058 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET) for questions or enrollment assistance.
