Summary
Starting February 1, 2021, Oklahoma Medicaid (SoonerCare) will reimburse therapy assistants at 85% of fully-licensed therapist rates and speech-language pathology clinical fellows at full rates. Each qualified therapy assistant and clinical fellow must complete a SoonerCare contract and Appendix A to begin billing.
Action Required
Before February 1, 2021: Therapy assistants and speech-language pathology clinical fellows must complete SoonerCare contracts and Appendix A forms available at http://okhca.org/providerenrollment. Billing team must update system to reimburse physical therapy assistants and occupational therapy assistants at 85% of licensed therapist rates, and speech-language pathology clinical fellows at full licensed therapist rates for SoonerCare members.
