Summary
Effective July 1, 2021, Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) will require all prior authorizations and claims submissions to be done electronically through the SoonerCare provider portal. Paper submissions, mailed documents, and physical diagnostic models will no longer be accepted for both medical and dental services.
Action Required
By July 1, 2021: Billing team must transition all SoonerCare prior authorization and claims submissions to electronic format through the SoonerCare provider portal. Stop all paper submissions and mailed documents. Ensure radiographic and photographic images are submitted electronically. Train staff on portal usage and contact OHCA dental unit at 405-522-7401 or provider helpline at 800-522-0114 for assistance. Paper submissions will be rejected after this date.
