Provider Letter 2021-06: Insure Oklahoma Language in Provider Contracts

Summary
Starting July 1, 2021, all existing Insure Oklahoma language in provider contracts becomes void due to Medicaid expansion changes. The Individual Plan (IP) members will move to the new expansion population, while the Employer Sponsored Insurance (ESI) program will be revised to cover individuals with income from 139% to 200% of federal poverty level.
Action Required
By July 1, 2021: Billing team must review all existing provider agreements and remove references to Insure Oklahoma Individual Plan (IP) members, as these will now be processed under standard Medicaid expansion rules. Contact Provider Enrollment at ProviderEnrollment@okhca.org for questions about contractual changes. Update billing system to recognize that former IP members are now part of regular Medicaid expansion population.
