Summary
OHCA launched the Soon-To-Be-Sooners (STBS) program providing medical coverage to pregnant women who meet SoonerCare eligibility except citizenship requirements. The program covers routine visits, medications, ultrasounds, dental, lab, specialty services, hospital care, and mental health services for the benefit of the unborn child during pregnancy, with coverage ending upon delivery.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must verify patient eligibility for STBS program for pregnant women who don't meet citizenship requirements but qualify for SoonerCare otherwise. Update patient registration forms to capture STBS eligibility. Ensure all covered services (routine visits, medications, ultrasounds, dental, lab, specialty, hospital, mental health, substance use disorder services) are billed appropriately with coverage ending at delivery.
