Summary
Oklahoma is transitioning most SoonerCare (Medicaid) members to managed care plans called SoonerSelect effective April 1, 2024. Providers must contract with three new managed care entities (Aetna Better Health, Humana Healthy Horizons, and Oklahoma Complete Health) to continue serving these patients and must use each plan's systems for claims, authorizations, and payments.
Action Required
By April 1, 2024: Complete contracting process with all three SoonerSelect managed care entities (Aetna Better Health, Humana Healthy Horizons, and Oklahoma Complete Health) to maintain ability to serve SoonerCare members. Update billing workflows to submit claims to appropriate managed care entity instead of OHCA. Use OHCA provider portal starting April 1 to verify which contracted entity is the payer for each member. Contact each plan for training on plan-specific procedures. Failure to contract will result in inability to serve transitioning members.
