Summary
Kentucky Medicaid has added all dental codes from the KY Medicaid Dental Fee Schedule 2023 as payable codes for Federal Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Rural Health Centers (RHCs). These facilities will now receive WRAP payments for dental services when provided by a dentist, but will not receive separate WRAP payments for dental and medical services on the same day.
Action Required
If your practice is an FQHC or RHC in Kentucky: Billing team must verify that all dental codes from the KY Medicaid Dental Fee Schedule 2023 are active in billing system for Medicaid claims. Update billing procedures to ensure only one WRAP payment is billed when dental and medical services are provided on the same day by different provider types.
