Summary
Kentucky Medicaid has eliminated coverage for psychoeducation services (H2027) effective April 10, 2026. This service is no longer reimbursable in either individual or group settings, and all Managed Care Organizations will deny claims for this code.
Action Required
Immediately: Stop billing H2027 (psychoeducation services) for all Kentucky Medicaid patients with dates of service on or after April 10, 2026. Billing team must update system to block H2027 claims for Kentucky Medicaid and notify behavioral health providers that this service is no longer covered. All pending H2027 claims with service dates after April 10, 2026 will be denied.
