Summary
Colorado Medicaid (Health First Colorado) has eliminated CHP+ enrollment fees effective July 1, 2022, expanded family planning benefits for eligible populations, and implemented new EVV requirements for telehealth pediatric behavioral therapy starting October 1, 2022. Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) is now covered without prior authorization per national guidelines.
Action Required
By October 1, 2022: Billing team must ensure EVV collection is implemented for pediatric behavioral therapy telehealth services using place of service codes 02 and 10. Update billing system to require EVV data for codes T1019 and S5130 with Remote Supports modifiers. Claims without EVV will be denied. Remove prior authorization requirements for NIPT billing effective July 1, 2022.
