Summary
Washington State Health Care Authority updated their COVID-19 therapies policy to allow billing for new monoclonal antibody treatments retroactive to December 8, 2021, and expanded Remdesivir coverage for pediatric patients retroactive to December 23, 2021. The COVID-19 fee schedule has also been revised.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update system to allow billing for new monoclonal antibody codes Q0220, M0220, and M0221 for dates of service December 8, 2021 and after. Update Remdesivir (J0248) billing criteria to include expanded pediatric coverage for dates December 23, 2021 and after. Download revised COVID-19 fee schedule from HCA website and update fee schedules in billing system.
