Summary
Washington State Medicaid (Apple Health) has added coverage for a new COVID-19 monoclonal antibody treatment (Tixagev and cilgay, 600mg) with retroactive billing allowed back to February 24, 2022. The COVID-19 fee schedule has also been updated with revised reimbursement rates.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must add HCPCS code Q0221 (Tixagev and cilgay, 600mg) to billing system for COVID-19 monoclonal antibody treatments. Update fee schedules with revised COVID-19 therapy rates from HCA's provider billing guides. Review and resubmit any eligible claims for dates of service from February 24, 2022 forward that were previously denied.
