Washington State Health Care Authority added new CPT and HCPCS codes for Moderna COVID-19 adult booster vaccine and administration to Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage, retroactive to March 29, 2022. The updated fee schedule and clinical policy are now available on HCA's website.

Immediately: Billing team must update system to include new codes CPT 91309 and HCPCS 0094A for Moderna COVID-19 adult booster vaccine and administration for Apple Health (Medicaid) patients. Review updated fee schedule on HCA website and update reimbursement rates. Submit any unpaid claims for these services with dates of service on or after March 29, 2022.
