Questions
What is free, and what needs a trial?
Policy Monitoring is free. No card required. The Payer Directory is free too, and Free has no usage limits. OIG Screening and Prior Auth Lookup come with Basic, and Compliance Center and Credentialing Tracker come with Pro. Try every product with a 30-day Pro trial. Card required, cancel anytime before it ends. When the trial ends you keep a Free account, and your data stays in place until you upgrade.
Do I need a separate account for each product?
No. One account and one workspace give you every product in the same sidebar, on one bill.
How is billing calculated?
Free stays $0. Basic is $19 a month for one user, with Policy Monitoring, OIG Screening and Prior Auth Lookup. Pro is $59 a month and adds Compliance Center and Credentialing Tracker. Add your team on Pro: $29 per user per month; staff who only take training or sign policies are free. Every plan bills monthly. Talk to a team member about a large team, invoicing, a BAA or SSO setup.
Can I control who sees what?
Yes, on Pro. Each person you add gets a role (owner, admin, manager or member) that decides what they can change, notes can be private or shared with a team, the organization or one person, and the audit log records who did what.
What is OIG screening, and does my practice need it?
The HHS Office of Inspector General keeps a list of people and companies barred from federal health care programs, called the LEIE. Medicare and Medicaid will not pay for any item or service furnished, ordered or prescribed by someone on that list, and a practice that employs or contracts with an excluded person can face fines and have to repay those claims. Any practice that bills Medicare or Medicaid should check everyone it employs or pays at hire and then every month. OIG recommends regular screening and many state Medicaid programs require monthly checks. PolicyChanges checks the OIG list, SAM.gov and the state Medicaid lists you choose.
Is PolicyChanges HIPAA compliant?
Yes. HIPAA compliant · PCI DSS: payments through Stripe · CIS Controls · NIST CSF 2.0 · SOC 2 on our roadmap. Card details never reach our servers. The security page shows how each one is met, what we store and how your data is protected. See how your data is protected.
